Voluntary Carbon Markets (VCMs) have been growing exponentially, from $300m per year in 2020 to an expected $100 billion per year in 2030. This presents a unique opportunity for VCMs to drive climate finance towards a Just Transition by integrating gender equality and climate outcomes.

We warmly invite you to join us for this webinar and panel discussion, hosted by the ASEAN Low Carbon Energy Programme (LCEP) and featuring speakers including H.E. Ms. Kara Owen CMG CVO the British High Comissioner to Singapore, Sue Phillips the CEO of Gender Tech Enterprises, and Rachel Vestergaard, Empower Co.’s Founder and CEO.

The webinar will be a chance to explore the opportunity for integrating gender considerations into voluntary carbon markets, and the importance of embedding gender in market governance.

A recent LCEP report seeks to stimulate action across the VCM ecosystem by building the case, presenting the evidence and examples of best practices, and proposing a set of comprehensive recommendations for integrating a gender lens in the voluntary carbon markets.

All members of the VCM ecosystem are welcome, whether you are a corporate buyer, project developer, crediting programme, independent verifier, intermediary, governance actor, gender expert, or if you’re looking to play another role in the growing VCM field.
